New designs and a new post! I am excited to share My Mom's Junk new look with you in my latest post!!! It's been quiet on the blog but behind the scenes, it has been a whirlwind of activity. It seems like if I'm blogging about something, I don't have time to get the project done. For my sanity, that's just not an option anymore. That being said, I'm working around the clock to prepare for my ... Read More about My Mom’s Junk New Look!

Chalk Painting 101: Not Your Average Paint and Sip!!!
My next Chalk Painting 101 class is almost here. Please come join me and my ever-expanding tribe this Saturday, August 5th, from 6-9 pm. Chalk Paint is such a great product and so much fun to use. Although my creative bucket list includes creating my own paint line someday, right now I’m content with trying the many, many options out there and sharing my experience with others. My new favorite is Little Billy Goat: America’s Best DIY Paint. I love, love, blogging but this Mama of 6 desperately needed some “me” time. In other words, I wanted to paint and be creative with other people. I wanted a tribe.
What Chalk Painting 101 Includes
When I couldn’t find what I was looking for…I created it. I designed my own class from scratch. Every single place I inquired about focused around selling a product. You can expect to pay $75.00 for a single class!!! That doesn’t exactly foster people to come more than once. I was NOT about to waste my Junkin money on that. My Chalk Painting 101 class is what I wish I had when I first fell in love with Chalk Paint. My class is fun, economical, and provides guided ongoing learning. If you can’t join us this weekend…don’t despair! My Chalk Painting: 101 class is offered monthly out of my South Tulsa home.
In my three hour class I cover:
- Tips and tricks of the pros
- Brands and supplies you would need for your own DIY projects!!!
- Achieving different looks (smooth finish, layering, chippy, rustic, etc.)
- Finishing options (Wax, Polyurethane, and Lacquer)
This class is everything I had hoped for and MORE!!! This is the most fun “Paint and Sip” class you will ever attend!!! I wouldn’t miss it for anything. I have regular attendees now. After you pay for your first class you can attend free for life. You will not find a better deal or find a nicer group of women anywhere. Period. The end. My girls are the best!!! If you like to sip wine, hang out with friends, and want to try something new…you are our kind of peeps. Yes, I said “peeps;-)”
Watching paint dry…has never been so fun!!!
When I hosted my first class, I learned as much as my students. I’m continuing to learn. The first thing that was obvious is we needed more time to chat…and for the paint to dry. So I increased the time an hour
so we could drink more wine. We also all agreed we needed a handout. I had so much to go over, I really could have divided it up into several sessions!!! Because of that, I’ve decided to limit my class size to 10. I’m going to be making printable downloads and videos for my students as well. Until then, you can check out these from my friend, the creator of Little Billy Goat Paint, Allie. Please enroll early, in order to reserve your spot.
If you would find it more convenient, I also host private parties (minimum of 4) and do individual instruction. My next class will be Saturday, August 5th 6:00 pm -9:00 pm. If you live in the Tulsa area and would like to sign up for a class you can fill out the form below or call (918)770-8933. You can pay via PayPal below. Each option below comes with a mini-frame. You can add a 4×6 or 8×10, a chalkboard, or even your favorite quote! I hope to see you soon!
