To say I need my own space is an understatement. With seven other people occupying this house, I know it seems impossible. Where there’s a will there’s a way. Several months ago, I used KariAnne from Thistlewood Farm’s consulting service. She’s an amazing woman and I learned so much from talking to her. I followed her advice and everything she said was true. There was a huge problem. I had tons of ideas, craft supplies (my family is thinking of doing an intervention), and projects than I knew what to do with. So why .haven’t I posted in months? No place to actually DO my projects. Until today.
It’s cluttered…it’s ugly…it’s pitiful…but its mine. An ugly duckling getting to become a swan and you will get to witness it. I prefer not to post pictures of it at this time. I have my pride. That being said, I have tons of work ahead of me and I’m looking forward to having my own creative space and office. Chris bought me a new sewing and embroidering machine for Christmas. Its still in the box.
This hot mess is going to be the star of the show. She doesn’t look like much in the picture but she cleaned up nice. Thanks to Annie Sloane, Minwax, and some new knobs from Hobby Lobby. She’s quite the looker despite her humble beginnings. I scored her from my neighbors trash pile. Don’t judge. Wait until you see her. See you soon my fellow DIY enthusiasts!
